Cute and convenient.

Nice C's offering is a surprisingly comfortable, lightweight simple chair. The crossbar design means its open-close setup is extremely logical, the feet nice and sturdy on sand and grass and mesh back was very welcome to keep us cool on a hot day. The drink holder, hanging as it does off the chair frame, wobbles around a little bit but is a nice touch.

First Impressions

The Nice C Low Beach Chair folds into a tube-shaped carry bag. It’s pleasingly small and light, and it would be easy to sling a few of these over your shoulder for the whole family.

The fabric used in constructing the bag isn’t super durable, and this carries over to the main chair - while the main fabric is reasonably sturdy, the mesh back feels flimsy, and the frame is a little clunky when folding and unfolding. It’s certainly not as durable as higher priced similar models, but it would still take years to fall apart and for the price point, this seems like a fair trade-off.

Transportability

The Nice C Low Beach Chair is eminently transportable - very light and packable for any of the chairs we tested, including for a beach chair of this design. The bag it comes with is simple, with a shoulder strap and drawstring, and the chair fits easily inside.

Sitting

We found this chair quite comfortable to sit in. It was a good distance off the sand, and there were no uncomfortable parts of the frame digging in. It also felt nicely steady on the sand with its four wide feet and low centre of gravity.

The thin but solid padding on the armrests did make them more appealing to rest on, but the armrests in a chair of this design are never going to be as comfortable as on a chair with full armrests. However, we did appreciate the inclusion of a drink holder, usually lacking in this type of chair. It swung around from where it was attached to the frame quite a bit, but was a nice touch.

The biggest issue with the chair is that it is quite low in the back - I’m 5’7” and it was fine for me (just), but I suspect if you’re a taller build you may not find this chair the most comfortable.

Final Verdict

The Nice C Low Beach Chair is a simply designed option, with the extra feature of a drink holder. It’s super light and very portable, and while you could get much more budget but flimsy version of this chair, there’s a good balance here between price and durability.
